Airline loyalty program promotions (July 2024)

Airline loyalty programs can offer trip discounts on certain dates, the chance to earn more miles for future travel and deals to rack up points toward elite status. Below are some of the offers we found for July.

Discounted Alaska award travel redemptions

Mileage Plan members, listen up. Alaska Airlines is offering up to 50% off award travel redemptions if you book this month.

• Book discounted award tickets to various destinations, including Guadalajara, Mexico; Athens, Greece; Muscat, Oman; Rome; and New Delhi.
• Book by July 31 for travel from Oct. 1 through Jan. 31, 2025.

Discount when buying Air France-KLM Flying Blue miles

If you have a specific redemption in mind and need a few extra miles, you could score a solid deal with Air France-KLM Flying Blue’s latest deal to buy miles.

• Get up to a 40% discount when you purchase miles.
• This offer is targeted, so be sure to check your account when you go to make your purchase.

Hotel loyalty program promotions (July 2024)

Hotel loyalty programs occasionally offer discounted stays, ways to earn extra points and deals at various properties. We collected some of this month’s active deals below.

Targeted: Earn 12,000 bonus IHG points

Some One Rewards members are being targeted for a promotion to earn 12,000 bonus points by staying twice in 60 days.

Targeted American Express Offer with Qantas Airways

Check your Amex Offers if you’re thinking of booking a flight with Qantas Airways soon. We found a cash-back deal on the American Express® Gold Card.

• Get a one-time statement credit of $250 when you spend at least $1,250 in one or more purchases for Qantas Airways-operated flights.
• You must book online at Qantas.com/US and book in U.S. dollars to receive cash back.
• The flight must originate in the U.S. to be eligible for this offer.
• The deal expires Aug. 27.

Targeted American Express Offer at Virgin Atlantic

If you’re planning a transatlantic flight, check your Amex Offers to see if you’re targeted for cash back on your next Virgin Atlantic purchase. (We found this offer on The Platinum Card® from American Express.)

• Get a one-time $250 statement credit when you use your enrolled eligible card to spend a minimum of $1,800 in one or more purchases at Virgin Atlantic’s website.
• Flight(s) must originate in the U.S. and be charged in U.S. dollars to qualify.
• To earn cash back, you must register your card first and use your registered card to make the purchase.

In addition to these new offers, there are many others from previous weeks that are still available:

• Enroll in a Sixt rental car status match with multiple airline and hotel program partners.
• Enroll in an Air France-KLM Flying Blue status match opportunity if you’re a resident of an eligible country (including the U.S., U.K., Canada, Germany and Spain; others can be found here). Successful enrollment in the status match is contingent upon submitting an application, proving equivalent elite status in one of 18 eligible airline loyalty programs and paying a fee determined by your status match level. • Get 50% off Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles redemptions on economy fares on select routes to and from Turkey. This offer ends July 31; the airline announces rotating monthly deals on its Instagram account.
• Earn bonus miles in the Lufthansa Miles & More program by registering for a Best Western deal and staying at participating properties in Europe. The deal expires July 31.
• Those who have a Citi Double Cash® Card (see rates and fees) can get 10% off a single hotel stay booked through the Citi travel portal. You must book your stay by July 31.
• Book discounted reward tickets with the monthly Flying Blue Promo Rewards from Air France-KLM Flying Blue on long-haul flights to and from Europe. Book by July 31.
• Earn four times the reward points on your next Accor Live Limitless stay using this registration link. Book by Aug. 4 for a stay by Sept. 22.
• Earn bonus Hilton Honors points for each AutoCamp stay completed by Aug. 12.
